My passion for counseling comes from wanting to facilitate healing for others as I have experienced myself. Utilizing a toolbox of interventions tailored to your needs, I seek to join you in reaching your goals. In working with you, I will approach your individual circumstances with respect, empathy, and a calm, soothing presence.
I am a dual associate marriage and family therapist and professional clinical counselor specializing in the treatment of trauma through the lens of attachment science. I graduated from Hope International University with a Master’s Degree in Counseling and my clinical experience includes treating children, adolescent and adult individuals, families, and couples.
I work with all ages and genders and approach my work with clients through Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). My training in EFIT Essentials has equipped me to treat individuals struggling with unhelpful coping strategies and distress of all types. As a certified Prepare/Enrich facilitator, I have worked with many couples utilizing assessment tools and Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT) to help them get unstuck from rigidly held patterns. Having years of experience as a public and private school teacher gives me knowledge of navigating difficulties related to students and their families. Additionally, I am EMDR Level 1 & 2 trained and hold a certificate in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT)
