My goal is to engage, empower, and equip you with tools and confidence to overcome challenges and reach your full potential. My work is rooted in the belief that healing is possible and therapy creates lasting change.Whether you're struggling with the aftermath of trauma, working through the challenges of addiction, or seeking healthier coping skills, I'm here to support you. I specialize in addiction, substance use, codependency, co-occurring disorders, sexual challenges, and trauma recovery. I am committed to creating a safe and affirming environment for individuals of all genders, sexual orientations, and identities to navigate a range of issues, including anxiety, depression, communication, mood disorders, and relationship struggles.I believe that the foundation of our work together lies in the strength of our therapeutic relationship. Communication and collaboration are key in creating a space where growth and healing take place. I approach our sessions with empathy and openness; putting observations into words that help you integrate new insights about yourself-without judgment or shame. In our time together, the focus will be you; on your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. My role is to listen actively and attentively, helping you recognize possibilities and reframe patterns that may be holding you back. With a collaborative framework, I tailor my approach to meet your needs, ensuring you feel heard, valued, and understood. My goal is to create a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore your feelings, develop insight, and ultimately experience the growth you desire.Below are some of the modalities and tools I use to support your healing and growth:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): Helps identify and change negative thought patterns that influence feelings and behaviors.
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT): Encourages embracing your emotions while focusing on actions that align with your core values.
  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT): Supports emotional regulation and mindfulness, as well as improving interpersonal relationships.
  • Narrative Therapy: Empowering you to reframe your life story, enabling you to see yourself in a new light.
  • Somatic Therapy: Connects the body and mind to release tension and trauma held in the body.
  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR): A powerful method for processing trauma and distressing memories.

Each of these modalities offers a unique way to approach your personal growth, and together we'll find the right combination that works best for you.On a personal note, I received my Bachelor of Arts in English from California State University, Long Beach. After graduation, I spent time traveling and working with Young Life. I thought I wanted to be an English Teacher, so naturally I began a career in Finance. (Wait, what?) I was a broker for years. During the years that preceded, I was a homemaker, a speaker, and a caretaker for my mom who eventually passed from ALS. Early on in that mix, I met and married my husband. We have been together twenty years and have three amazing kids. I have lived a lot of beautiful ugly; joy and pain, addiction and recovery, trauma and healing, life and death. Mine has been a journey of intense healing and growth, which ultimately let me to pursue my passion - Therapy. I graduated with a Master's in Counseling from the Townsend Institute at Concordia University, Irvine. I am anchored in my purpose, committed to my values, and remain humbly available to meet with you. I am a wife, a mom, a daughter, a sister, a friend, and a lover of all things outside. I'm here for it all.
