Hello! My name is Kameron “Kam” Kaveh, I am an LMFT licensed in California. My therapeutic approach is two parts, therapy should be something you look forward to, and should be a place where you can process the changes that you would like to make in your life. I specialize in LGBTQIA+ populations with a particular emphasis on advocacy and religious trauma.
My approach
I tend to approach clients from an integrative standpoint. Starting with the initial assessment I look to understand developmental “stuck points” that inhibit forward progress. You will receive a blend of CBT, DBT, and an overarching person-centered approach throughout the therapeutic process.
My focus
My typical client focus is the LGBTQIA population and college-aged individuals.
My communication style
When working with clients I seek to make my clients feel comfortable. I think that an egalitarian relationship is crucial to furthering therapeutic outcomes. Clients can expect compassionate understanding paired with honesty and respect.
My goals for you
Goals are a collaborative effort within therapy. If I come up with goals for you where is the motivation for you to move towards them?
My first session with you
The first session is not indicative of future sessions, I will ask you ALOT of questions. This is to help us make the best roadmap forward.
