Associate Marriage and Family Therapist
Clinical Supervisor: Dr. Rebecca Gehlke
Hello!
My name is Georgie, and I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT, 150287) with a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Alliant International University. I am originally from Northern California but have had the joy of calling San Diego home for the past four years.
I have had the privilege of working with clients across all ages but specialize in supporting children, teens, and young adults. I am deeply committed to creating a space where young people feel validated and understood in their emotions and experiences. By building a strong therapeutic rapport, my goal is to empower my clients on a path of healing and self-discovery.
Throughout my career, I have worked with individuals navigating life’s most challenging moments, including divorce, domestic violence, sexual assault, and neglect. I also have experience supporting those living with a range of diagnoses, such as PTSD, Major Depressive Disorder, and Generalized Anxiety Disorder.
In therapy, I take a humanistic and collaborative approach, tailoring our work together to your unique story, experiences, and needs. I utilize evidence-based practices like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Internal Family Systems, and Emotionally Focused Therapy. I also integrate creative approaches, including art, music, and somatic therapy, to promote holistic healing.
My mission is to create a compassionate, safe, and judgment-free space where you feel truly seen and heard. It would be an honor to walk alongside you on your journey toward healing, growth, and self-discovery.
Thank you for considering me as part of your support system—I look forward to working together.
