My name is Raquel Buchanan and I am a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT #118976) and doctoral candidate at Grand Canyon University. I specialize in treating self-esteem issues related to interpersonal trauma focusing on the impact that childhood abuse or neglect has on emotional and mental health

I am a self-esteem therapist who focuses on building coping skills, finding your hidden strengths and talents, and getting you out of negative thought patterns that keep you stuck. I have assisted many of my clients overcome issues like addiction, relationship conflict, depression, and anxiety related disorders. The best compliment I have ever received was that my therapeutic approach “was like talking to a friend.”

I use an eclectic approach to therapy incorporating Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI) techniques to give you a safe, non-judgmental place where you can express yourself and who you are fully!
