I am a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (#102260) with over 5 years of experience working with children, adolescents, families, couples, and individuals. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Human Development and Psychology from California State University San Marcos in 2014, completed my Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in 2017, and recently completed my Doctor of Psychology in Clinical Psychology and Marriage and Family therapy in early 2021.
Throughout my 5 years of experience, I have worked in a variety of treatment settings. I have experience in a nonprofit agency where I treated children, adolescents and families. I have worked in a detox/residential substance abuse and mental health inpatient program where I treated adults. I have worked with eating disorders in an inpatient/outpatient setting and have also worked in a private practice setting seeing couples and individuals. With each position providing a different population, I obtained experience treating Depression, Anxiety, Mood Disorders, Eating Disorders, Personality Disorders and Substance Use Disorder, alongside other struggles such as self-harm, suicidal ideation, grief and loss and family dysfunction.
I have a great passion for helping those in need and strive to provide hope for a better tomorrow. I focus on creating a safe and uplifting environment that is helpful in healing each individual. I provide a supportive and compassionate environment for the individual to begin the exploration of their core emotional issues, gain insight into their strengths, and guide them to move forward to experience a positive mindset. Through psychotherapy, I can help you to move through your distress to a place of peace and healing. Wherever you are in life, I meet you there. I have a deep belief that every person has the ability to heal, and together we can explore the struggles you are having difficulty with to alleviate presenting symptoms. My approach is collaborative and client-centered. I implement Solution-Focused, Cognitive Behavioral, Narrative Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing techniques throughout our journey together to assist in resolving your distress. My approach to psychotherapy is tailored to target your individual needs, implementing other evidence-based practices when needed. I look forward to developing a therapeutic alliance with you.
